The school holidays can be a time of deep connection and joy—but they can also feel chaotic, emotionally intense, and exhausting. Mindfulness Journey for Summer is a gentle, supportive programme created especially for parents who are navigating work, holidays, and parenting during the long summer break.
Rooted in mindfulness, compassion, and heart-centered practices, this 5-week course offers weekly on-demand guidance, meditations, reflections, and creative activities to help you stay grounded and present—no matter what the summer brings. Whether you're a seasoned meditator or completely new to mindfulness, you'll find nourishing support and practices you can return to again and again.

Details:
Format: Weekly on-demand content (videos, reflections, meditations, and creative practices) delivered via a private website.
Live Sessions: One optional weekly live gathering (recorded for those who can’t attend).
Community: Access to a private Facebook group to share reflections, connect with like-minded parents, and practice together if you wish.
Start Date: Monday 28th July 2025 (aligned with UK school holidays)
Open to All: Though the timing follows the UK school calendar, the programme is open internationally to any parent seeking mindful support.
Structure:
A short teaching video inspired by teachers like Thich Nhat Hanh, Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, Sharon Salzberg, and others.
A guided meditation exploring mindfulness of the mind, heart, and body.
A reflection or journaling prompt to help integrate your insights.
A creative or mindful practice—some for you alone, others to enjoy with your children.
Curated resources for further inspiration (short reads, videos, or podcasts).
An optional live session each week for group practice, connection, and Q&A.
Week 1 – Intention & Attention
“Where intention goes, attention flows.”
Begin the summer by pausing to reflect on what you truly want to experience. Explore how small, intentional rituals and mindful attention can shape your summer and your state of mind.
Week 2 – Awareness & Equanimity
“This too belongs.”
Holidays can stir up emotions—from delight to overwhelm. Learn to meet emotional waves and changing routines with calm curiosity and balance, using grounding and body-based practices.
Week 3 – Joy
“Joy is available—here and now.”
Discover how to access joy in ordinary moments. Through gratitude, presence, and playful awareness, you’ll explore the gift of slowing down—even when plans change.
Week 4 – Loving-Kindness
“May I be kind to myself. May I be kind to others.”
This week focuses on nurturing kindness in thoughts, emotions, and actions. Learn to soften your inner critic, respond with patience, and bring more warmth into family dynamics.
Week 5 – Compassion & Transitions
“With compassion, we grow strong.”
As summer draws to a close, turn toward transitions with gentleness. Reflect on the journey, honour the challenges, and cultivate compassion for yourself and your family as you move toward a new season.
