This class will be running live from January 2026 until February 2026, with live online Q&A sessions.
You can access the on-demand material any time from your purchase date.
Parenting allows us to experience some of the most meaningful moments of our lives. It also challenges us with reactivity, fatigue, self-doubt, and emotional intensity (usually all before breakfast). While it can often feel overwhelming, discovering the right tools, techniques and mindset can be transformative to your day-to-day life.
Introduction to Mindfulness for Parents is a gentle 3-week journey designed to support you in changing from reactive behaviours and habits, to more responsive, grounded, and calm ways of connecting with your children. Whether you’re in the trenches with toddlers, struggling with school-age, or getting to grips with being a grandparent, this course is here to help. It offers a clear and accessible introduction to mindfulness meditation, rooted in the realities of family life, not an idealised environment or hypothetical state of permanent calm and happiness.
By using simple and practical mindfulness tools, you will learn how to pause rather than react in those tricky situations; how to work skilfully with emotions (both yours and your children’s); and how to reconnect with a sense of warmth and steadiness within yourself.
Whether you are completely new to meditation or returning after a break, this course creates a supportive foundation you can build on, both in your parenting and in your wider life.
Introduction to Mindfulness for Parents is a supportive online programme designed to introduce parents to mindfulness meditation and its application in everyday family life, taking just three weeks of your time.
Format: A three-week journey with weekly on-demand content, including teaching videos, guided meditations, reflective prompts, and practical tools you can use immediately. Each session combines learning, direct experience, and directions on how to integrate it into daily life.
Live and recorded: Each session includes a short lesson, a guided mindfulness meditation to participate in, reflections to explore between sessions, and a space for questions and answers. All content is hosted on a private website, allowing you to revisit practices at your own pace.
Own your time: The live sessions with Q&As take place between January and February, but you may begin the course at any time using the on-demand content. Many parents find it helpful to start at the beginning of a month to establish a gentle rhythm that fits in the calendar.
Open to All: Created for parents (with children of any age), and open to carers, grandparents, educators, and anyone supporting children. No prior meditation experience is required.
Each week includes:
A clear, accessible lesson, introducing a key mindfulness theme;
One or more guided mindfulness practices;
Reflection prompts to support understanding and integration;
Practical suggestions for bringing mindfulness into everyday parenting moments.
The structure is intentionally simple and under your control. This is not about adding more to your to-do list - it is about finding more joy in those day-to-day parenting moments, and embracing them with greater awareness and care.
You are introduced to mindfulness meditation and its relevance for parenting. This week focuses on learning how to place and stabilise attention, cultivating presence, and beginning to notice habitual reactions with curiosity rather than judgment.
This week explores emotions as natural human experiences. You learn how to recognise and name your own emotions, differentiate them from your children’s emotions, and use the breath and body as anchors when feelings run strong.
The final week focuses on cultivating a warm, compassionate relationship with yourself and your child. You explore mindfulness as a practice of love, learn how to bring your practice into the world, and reflect on how to continue beyond the course.
